 ChiliPad
is a microclimate thermostat control system thatCOOLS &
HEATS your bed. A mattress pad solution that will fit any
sized mattress this system allow you to control the
temperature of your bed like you do your home or your car.
Turn the temperature down to 46oF or up to 118oF, YOU
decide. Insomnia research has shown that sleeping at
temperatures between 60-68oF greatly improves you ability to
fall asleep and stay asleep. Available in single and dual
zone, you can have your mattress pad adjust as one zone or
with two separate controls.
ChiliPad technology uses water instead of air to generate
a wide range of in-bed temperature adjustment. Similar to
the semi-conductor technology that cools your computer,
water passes by the chip and depending on the direction of
electron flow the water is cooled or heated. The water
flows through soft coils in the mattress pad actively
adjusting the temperature of the surface. There is nothing
but water flowing through the mattress pad; all
temperature change happens in the control unit placed
conveniently under the bed. Using advances in
semiconductor technology the temperature can change from
460F to 1180F, at a fraction of the
cost of air-conditioning. The result is the effect of a
cool or warm bed throughout a night's sleep. The motor is
virtually silent (under 20 dBa) and has been designed to
fit under a standard bed frame. It is controlled in one
degree increments with a hand held remote. The benefits of
a cooler night's sleep are medically proven to increase
the amount of REM sleep during the night. This is a

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the ChiliPad
work with a Tempur-pedic or other memory foam mattress?
Yes, the ChiliPad covering
was designed to stretch at the same rate as the most common
mattress. Heat activated visco-elastic foam will still
provide the supportive benefit, but without the heat
buildup.
The ChiliPad is ETL
listed, which is an equivalent of UL testing What is the
weight limit?
The ChiliPad will operate
effectively with a weight range up to 500 lbs. With higher
weight ranges the control unit may not reach the maximum
temperature range from 46F to 118F, but will still provide
significant cooling and heating benefits.
What is the pad made of?
The pad is Poly/Cotton fabric
with a Polyester filling. The circulation tubes are medical
grade silicon.
How durable is the
ChiliPad?
The mattress pad is made from
150 thread count poly cotton material and medical grade
silicone tubing. The silicone tubing that circulates the
water was chosen because of its strength properties. It will
can not be punctured by animal claws, or under normal human
use.
What type of water should
be used?
Standard potable water can be
used. If you are in an area with hard water or higher levels
of sediment we suggest using distilled water.
How do you clean the water
or avoid sediment buildup?
A tablespoon of vinegar can
be added each time the water is refilled, or a waterbed
water conditioner can be used. We recommend Blue Magic, but
all major brands will work.
How do you clean the pad?
The ChiliPad is machine
washable using a front load machine. Dry on a low heat
setting.
What are the power
details?
The ChiliPad uses up to 150
watts per control at peak and about 80 watts under normal
use and works with common North American 110V power systems.
Should I still use a
mattress protector?
We still recommend a mattress
protector be placed between the mattress and the ChiliPad to
protect the mattress warranty. In rare cases (temperature
differences of greater than 30F) the ChiliPad can experience
some condensation buildup near the circulation tubes.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes, a 3 year
warranty on all components against manufacturing defects.
Will the ChiliPad
automatically maintain the set temperature?
Yes, when the power is turned
on, the ChiliPad will return to the last set temperature.
Does it help with hot
flashes?
Yes, this product is Doctor
recommended to reduce the symptoms of a hot flash in both
severity and duration.
Why do I need it for my
whole body, when just my head/ hair sweats?
Although many consumers feel
the temperature problem at night has to do with their head /
hair getting too hot, the temperature build up is actually
all over the body, and just vented at head area. When the
whole body temperature is properly regulated all excess
sweating will cease.
Can it be used in a boat,
camper or semi truck?
The ChiliPad is a great
solution to heat/ cool your mattress in a boat, camper or
semi.
Will the pad change the
feel of my mattress?
No, we have chosen materials
to match the stretch rate of the sheets and mattress ticking
used on the most popular mattresses in the country.
Will I be able to feel the
tubes in the mattress?
It is possible to feel the
circulation tubes with your fingers is you search for them,
but they cannot be felt when laying on the mattress. The
silicone tubing is soft enough that it allows for a
comfortable sleeping surface while still allowing water to
pass through the tubes.
How much noise does it
make?
The noise level is low the
only audible components are a fan that is similar to a
desktop computer, and a water pump that contributes as much
noise as a small aquarium pump. The noise typically becomes
part of the rooms ambient noise within two weeks, similar to
an air conditioning unit.

available?

replacement pad, control units, remotes and connection
