are made with Breathe-O-Prene, a breathable material that allows air to flow, keeping your patients cool and
comfortable. Carefusion manufactures a large variety of chin straps
to meet the needs of those that prefer nasal masks. Simple items
like the chin strap can make all the difference in keeping a
patient comfortable and compliant with their CPAP
therapy.
CPAP chin straps are
generally recommended for patients who experience their mouth or
jaw dropping open during sleep. Chin Straps have been
known to assist in stopping snoring however, we do not guarantee
that you will achieve this result with the use of this
product. Excessive snoring can be a sign of sleep apnea and
we recommend that you contact your physician if snoring
presist.
Sizing Instructions for TMS-09 Series Chin
Straps: You will require a cloth tape measure and an assistant.
Have the assistant measure 1/2 head circumference, follow these 2
steps: 1. Place end of tape measure in middle of chin - have
patient hold this end to their chin 2. Measure going toward
patient's ear and continue to top middle of head. CHINSTRAP fits
½ head SIZING circumference TMS-09S (Small) 10" to 11" TMS-09M
(Medium) 11" to 12" TMS-09L (Large) 12" to 13" ADJUSTABLE
CHINSTRAPS: TMS-09ADJ 12" to 13" TMS-09 ADJ-XL 14" and
above.
Note: The newer design is smaller
than the old design. If your head size is small to medium this
standard size will fit. For a large size head you will need the
Extra Large adjustable chin strap.
**Chin Straps are not returnable, defective
ones will be replaced**
