FullLife has less bulk while
providing more convenience, comfort, and performance.
Smaller and lighter - yet highly durable. That's what we
created with the FullLife full-face mask. A revolutionary
design makes FullLife a great choice for both men and women
who need a full-face mask but prefer something more compact
and less intrusive than other full-face masks. To accomplish
that, we eliminated the conventional forehead pad and
provided a clear sight line. To enhance comfort, we used a
dual-textured cushion that aids with assembly and prevents
mask movement on the face. A clever headgear design further
improves mask fit while simplifying application and removal.
FullLife Features
The FullLife full-face mask was designed specifically to
provide a practical option for those patients who need the
performance of a full-face mask but prefer a more compact
and less intrusive mask. With FullLife, we're meeting that
need, while helping you achieve the long-term compliance and
results for which you and your patients strive.
A minimal mask with a full
set of features
We developed FullLife with a minimalist approach. We
wanted to minimize bulkiness and weight. Yet, we challenged
ourselves to maximize performance, comfort, and durability.
One of the primary ways we did that was to eliminate the
traditional forehead pad. That, in turn, removed a common
pressure point and cleared the wearer's view.
And, while FullLife may be small in stature, its
dual-textured cushion surface creates a robust seal even
during patient movement at night. Helping to keep everything
securely in place, our straightforward, step-by-step
numbered headgear system assures seal, while simplifying
application and removal.
Frequently Asked
Questions
What is the FullLife?
The FullLife is a full-face mask that is used to deliver
positive airway pressure (PAP) in the treatment of
obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) for patients weighing more
than 66 pounds. It is an alternative to traditional
full-face masks that is less intrusive and low profile. The
FullLife mask comes complete with a cushion (sizes S, M, or
L) and headgear.
How does it work?
The FullLife relies on a soft full-face cushion and a
sure seal technology (SST) flap that gently seals around the
nose and mouth of the patient. The cushion seal is supported
by the chin support band and, to a lesser extent, the nose.
By using the chin to support the mask seal, the FullLife
reduces the pressure on the lower lip and nasal area,
thereby giving a comfortable yet stable cushion support.
How does the FullLife compare to other full-face
mask products?
Unlike most full-face mask products that use a forehead
pad and arm, the FullLife relies on a chin support band to
provide a soft foundation for the seal and to eliminate
unnecessary nasal bridge irritation, pressure, or pulling.
FullLife does not use a forehead pad or arm, which enables
the patient to have a clear line of sight.
Are there any limitations on using the FullLife?
No, the FullLife can be used with all Respironics
devices, including REMstar Systems with A-Flex, C-Flex,
BiPAP Pro Systems with Bi-Flex, and REMstar Auto-CPAP
systems.
What information comes with the FullLife?
The FullLife full-face mask includes a pictorial quick
fitting guide and an instruction manual. Inserted in the
instruction manual are a registration card, a replacement
reminder card, and a reminder sticker that can help track
and manage the mask replacement cycle. Additional
information and instructions are included on this Web site.
Is it possible to read or watch TV with the
FullLife?
Yes, the low-profile design of the FullLife makes it
perfect for reading or watching television before going to
sleep.
Is the FullLife quiet?
The exhalation ports located on front of the cushion make
the FullLife exceptionally quiet. The ports are specifically
designed to disperse air for a quiet flow of exhalation. Our
trial participants were very impressed by the low level of
noise created by the diffusion ports, particularly when
compared to similar competitive products.
What did patients in your trials say about the
FullLife?
Patients in our trials were most impressed by the comfort
and simplicity of the FullLife full-face mask. They were
pleased that the interface did not restrict the positions in
which they could sleep. Trial participants also had positive
feedback on the interface's quiet exhalation and lightweight
design.
Will any plastic contact my face when I wear the
FullLife mask?
No. Only the silicone cushion, headgear, and chin support
band will contact your face when you are wearing the
FullLife full-face mask. The FullLife mask is DEHP and latex
free.
What are the numbers on the bottom of the
FullLife mask?
The numbers that appear on the bottom of the FullLife
mask represent the lot number that indicates the date of
manufacture (YYMMDD). These numbers are used to track the
product and allow for detailed user registration.
What are the numbers by the faceplate slots and
headgear (1,2,3,4)?
The mask frame and headgear tabs are marked with numbers
1 through 4, indicating the order for adjusting the straps.
The numbers also provide a visual indicator to show which
headgear tab should be inserted into each slot.
