Resmed announced the United States launch of its full line
of CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) devices which
incorporates the Easy Breathe technology found in the
VPAP Auto released in January
2008.
Devices released today include the
S8 Elite II and
the S8 AutoSet II
both with Easy-Breathe technology. A brief description of
each follows:
The S8 Elite II
is the premium CPAP device in ResMed’s S8 Series II,
the smallest and quietest product range on the market.
The S8 Elite II
features new whisper-quiet operation that is 75% quieter
than before, new and improved EPR (expiratory pressure
relief) with Easy-Breathe technology, usage-based compliance
download for accurate patient monitoring, and a data card
for easy two-way data transfer. Easy-Breathe is ResMed’s
revolutionary new therapy system that combines new software,
a quieter motor and improved EPR for maximum comfort and a
quiet night’s sleep. With newly improved EPR, the S8 Elite
II provides three levels of pressure relief delivered in a
smooth waveform synchronized with the patient’s natural
breathing pattern.
