if your humidifier is running out of water, take it back there is something wrong with it. They should run 8 hrs on 5 and still have water remaining.

My unit consistently runs out of water (every day so far) in about 5 to 6 hours at a setting of 2. I have a nose and mouth mask, and wake up with a dry mouth and sore throat. The house is at about 45% - 55% RH. This tends to defeat its purpose. Other ...
