AirSense 11 AutoSet by ResMed is a premium-grade, auto-adjusting pressure
device. The use of the device is highly indicated in the treatment of OSA
(Obstructive Sleep Apnea) patients weighing 66lb+ (30kg+), and the treatment of
female patients struggling with mild to moderate sleep apnea (AutoSet for Her
model by ResMed). AirSense 11 AutoSet is a self-adjusting pressure device
indicated for both home and hospital use.

The HumidAir 11 Standard tub is the only water

Climate Control feature allows you to
control your humidifier manually or automatically. Thanks to the
integrated humidifier, the device is more compact and easier to
use, providing you with the optimum humid air during therapy.
AutoRamp feature- helps you fall asleep on
a more gentle pressure. At the start of the therapy, when
AutoRamp is ON, the device will deliver a lower pressure setting
to help you accommodate to therapy, and fall asleep easier. The
device will automatically increase pressure flow to reach
prescribed levels by the end of Ramp time.
EPR- Expiratory Pressure Relief- helps
maintaining regular airflow pressure during the inhalation
phase. EPR reduces the pressure upon exhalation to make it
easier while exhaling. Thus, you do not have to struggle
exhaling against a strong pressure.

that you require. How it works:
The device pushes the air through the tubing system and into
the mask
The mask will allow the pressurized air to enter the
airways. Thus, pressurized air maintains the airways open to
prevent apnea events
The Humidifier will add moisture to the air that you
breathe. Moist air helps avoiding irritations such as throat
irritations, chapped lips, nasal irritations, dryness and so on.
The power supply unit helps providing continuous power to
the device
Powerful filters help preventing contaminants, allergens and

With the smart MyAir App you get all the guidance that you
need from setting up your machine, to how to use it correctly

needs on a breath-by-breath basis. The machine can change airflow pressure
following in a natural way your own breathing pattern. AirSense 11 is also
available in a gender-specific therapy mode with a special algorithm- AutoSet
for Her.
AirSense 11 AutoSet – About the device- description &
function
Start therapy/ Standby Button- you should press the button in
order to start/stop therapy. The LED indicator is green during the
standby mode, white during therapy.
Display touch screen- will help you navigate through functions
and will display information pertaining to the operating status of
the device
HumidAir 11 tub- this is the water tub that helps providing
heated humidification
The device label- displays all important information about your
device
Outlet connector- connects the air tubing to the device
Power inlet- connects the power cord
Air inlet filter cover- contains the air filter
SD Card cover- this is a removable cover that offers protection
to the SD card slot. The LED button is blue whenever data is being
transferred to the main SD card
SlimLine tubing- this is the non-heated air tubing
ClimateLineAir 11 tubing- this us the heated air tubing
Please note that when the therapy/Start button flashes white, it
signals a system error. For more information, you should check the
Troubleshooting section in your manual. Always use the AirSense 11
AutoSet device exactly as directed by your healthcare provider or
physician.
AirSense 11 AutoSet warning & cautions:
You should always place the device on a flat surface, lower
than your head. This will help preventing the air tubing and
mask from filling with water.
Never overfill the humidifier tub because water may enter
the air tubing or the device
Always use ResMed parts and accessories with the device
(e.g. power supplies or air filters), masks and other
accessories
Never block the air inlet or air tubing of the device while
operating. This may lead to overheating of the main device
Always maintain the area around the device dry and clean.
Make sure that air is not blocked from entering
With AirSense 11 AutoSet you should always use vented masks
recommended by ResMed
AirSense 11 AutoSet- How to set up the device
First, you need to place the unit on a level surface that is stable (e.g. On
your nightstand)
Next, connect the power cord into the power inlet (you can find
this at the rear of the device).
Connect the air tubing to the outlet connector at the rear of the
device
Fill the humidifier tub with water up to the maximum sign. Always
use distilled water for the humidifier tub. Before adding water, you
need to remove the tub from the device. The maximum capacity of the
tub is 380mL. Close the humidifier tub and insert it into its place.
Connect the air tubing to the mask. For detailed information,
check the assembly steps of the mask.
How to navigate the touchscreen of the AirSense 11
AutoSet:
Home Screen- helps you return to the home screen of the device at
any time.
Humidifier fault- this signals a fault in the humidifier. Oxygen
therapy will run without heating.
Humidifier warning- the water in the humidifier tub is cooling
Bluetooth connected- the sign shows that Bluetooth is
successfully connected via Bluetooth technology
Cellular sign strength- shows the strength of the cellular
connectivity on your device
No cellular connection- whenever cellular coverage is not
available
Airplane mode- indicates that the device is in airplane mode
Initial Setup of the device
Starting from the Welcome screen, you should follow the next
prompts. From the Home screen, it is possible to access the
following menus:
My Options- you can easily view and adjust therapy settings,
such as adjusting Ramp Time
My Sleep View- helps tracking sleep data- for example,
checking last night’s usage hours or the mask status
More: you can access other features such as switching to
Airplane Mode or Run Mask Fit feature
When using the touch screen, there are two methods you can use to
navigate: Swipe or Touch.
Other features that you can personalize:
Ramp Time in My Options: ramp time is the period of time
during which pressure increases gently – from low and up to
prescribed levels. Ramp time can be set from 5 to 45 minutes (in
5 minute increments) or set to Auto.
Pressure Relief function- when enabled, EPR will help you
exhale without struggling against a high pressure. EPR is a
setting that helps patients enjoy better therapy compliance.
SmartStart function- When you breathe into your mask,
therapy will start instantly whenever SmartStart is enabled
Smart Stop- therapy stops automatically within a few seconds
after you remove your mask.
MaskFit function in More: with this function you will be
able to identify any air leaks around the mask.
Connecting to MyAir – track the progress of your therapy/
know the health data
MyAir is an application that will offer you guidance on how to
set up your device. You will get access to setup videos, Test Drive
related help, mask fitting tutorials and even the possibility to
track your sleep and overall therapy progress. Please keep in mind
that MyAir app is not required in order to operate the AirSense 11
AutoSet device.
Before pairing your AirSense 11 to a smartphone, make sure to
download the latest version of the app. Now you can set up the
application, by going to the MORE menu:
Launch MyAir and tap continue
Follow closely the prompts and connect via Bluetooth
Next, tap Done
How to Start/ Stop therapy with AirSense 11 AutoSet
In order to start the therapy session, fit your mask and next
press the Start therapy/ Standby button on the unit. If SmartStart
is enabled, all you need to do is breathe into the mask. Now,
therapy will start and the treatment screen is enabled. During
therapy, you will notice a dynamic pulse wave being displayed on the
screen.
In order to Stop therapy, remove your mask. Next, press the Start
therapy/ Standby button. Alternatively, if SmartStop is enabled, you
just need to wait a few seconds after removing your mask and the
unit will stop.
ClimateLineAir 11: More comfortable breathing with Climate
Control
ClimateLineAir 11 is a heated tube that will help delivering air
to your mask. When you use the tube with the humidifier tub, the
tubing allows you use Climate Control. With Climate Control, you can
enjoy breathing air with a constant, comfortable temperature and
humidity level.
Enjoy comfortable humidity levels to avoid a dry nose/ dry
throat
Can be set to Manual or Auto
Climate Control is only available when HumidAir 11 tub +
ClimateLineAir 11 are attached
For Climate Control, Auto is the default setting. This feature
helps delivering comfortable levels of humidity and temperature so
that you do not have to change anything. When enabling Auto setting:
The tube temperature is set to 27C (80F).
The humidifier output is adjusted in order to maintain a
constant and comfortable humidity level. – 85% relative humidity
Get protection against rainout- the development of water
droplets within mask & tubing
Climate Control can be set manually. This will offer you more
flexibility and control over your therapy. By using the manual
setting, you can adjust temperature and humidity levels to find the
best setting for you. Both humidity and temperature levels can be
set individually for even more flexibility.
Turn up humidity levels if you struggle with a dry nose/ dry
mouth
Turn down the humidity levels if you are receiving too much
moisture into your mask
1 is the lowest humidity setting, while 8 is the highest.
You can turn off humidity levels (at Off setting).
AirSense 11 AutoSet Cleaning recommendations
Daily cleaning recommendations:
Make sure to empty the humidifier tub and also wipe it using
a clean cloth.
Refill the tub using distilled water
Weekly cleaning recommendations:
Prepare warm water with regular dishwasher liquid. Wash the
humidifier tub, outlet connector and air tubing in thissolution.
Ensure to wash the components in water that does not exceed 149F
(65C).
Rinse well each component
Allow them to dry away from direct sunlight
Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a clean cloth
Never wash the heated air tubing in a dishwasher
The air filter is not washable/ reusable.
Troubleshooting AirSense 11 AutoSet
Air leaks around the mask ensure your mask is fitted in a
correct manner. Check the fitting instructions in your guide or
check out the Mask Fit tutorial in MyAir App.
Struggling with dry nose/ blocked nose Increase the humidity
levels for more comfort
Water droplets on the nose, in the air tube & mask Humidity
levels may be set too high- reduce humidity levels / tube
temperature may be too low- increase the Tube temperature
Mouth feels uncomfortable the air may be escaping through the
mouth – a chin strap may help to keep your mouth in a closed
position. Alternatively, a full face mask may represent a better
option than a nasal mask.
The humidifier tube is leaking Check humidifier for any damage
and reassemble correctly. If humidifier is cracked, contact your
care provider for a replacement.
Therapy data not sent to the care provider/ prescription settings
are not applied to device:
Poor wireless coverage/ no wireless
Device may be in Airplane Mode
Data transfer is not enabled for your device
